IB Spanish B: Oral Exam

One of the most daunting portions of the Spanish SL Examination is the speaking portion. Despite how difficult it may seem, there are several study strategies and tips you can follow to earn full marks on the oral exam.

Exam Format

The oral exam has two parts. First, you are given two pictures you have never seen before that relates to one of five themes: Organizacion Social (social organization), Identidades (identities), Compartir el Planeta (sharing the planet), Ingenio Humano (human ingenuity), and Experiencias (experiences). You will get to choose one of the photos and have 15 minutes to prepare a 4 minute presentation about the picture you show and how it relates to the given theme.
