Myths Demystified #1: The 10-Second Rule

Widely-spread social media posts supposedly affiliated with Stanford Medicine offered a solution: the "10-second test." According to the test, if a person successfully holds their breath for 10 seconds, without coughing in between, they don't have the coronavirus. But, think again. If the solution really is so simple, then why have we invested in and why do we conduct such expensive tests? Short answer: the test does NOT work.
